A specially formulated hair removal gel is applied onto the skin. The applicator, which emits high power light, glides over the skin to target hair follicles in the treatment areas. After the treatment, the area will then be cooled for a few minutes before a hydrating soothing gel is applied.
You might experience slight tingly warm sensation when the light beams are being emitted followed by a soothing and cooling sensation during the application of a hydrating soothing gel.
Smaller areas will take a shorter time to treat, and vice versa. The LUMINN Hair Removal treatment duration ranges from 15 – 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
Ideal results in hair reduction can be achieved within 5 sessions of LUMINN Hair Removal treatment. However, the effectiveness may vary depending on the person’s hair condition and psychological factors that affect hair growth.
LUMINN Hair Removal is suitable for all skin types. However, treatment cannot be performed on tattoo skin or areas with white hair where melanin pigments in hair follicles are limited.
LUMINN Hair Removal Treatment aims to destroy hair follicles. With each session, the hair will become thinner, and its growth will be slower. Hence, long- term hair reduction can be achieved.
Do not wax or tweeze or pluck the hair at the treatment area for 4 weeks before the treatment, only shaving is allowed. Avoid sun exposure, chemical peels or laser 2 week prior to LUMINN Hair Removal treatment.
Apply gentle soothing gel or aloe vera gel to keep skin hydrated and prevent any skin irritation after the LUMINN Hair Removal treatment. Avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen to prevent sun damage to skin at treatment area. Avoid swimming, heat (such as hot showers or sauna) or chemicals to prevent agitating the skin at treatment area.
